Thailand Deports Luthra Brothers to India

Thai authorities have deported the Luthra brothers, wanted by Indian agencies in connection with multiple criminal cases, and handed them over to Indian officials. The deportation was carried out following a request from Indian law enforcement agencies after the brothers were found staying in Thailand without valid travel documents.

Officials said the brothers were taken into custody by Thai immigration authorities after their presence in the country was flagged through coordination between Indian and Thai agencies. Following legal formalities, they were deported to India, where they are expected to face investigation and trial.

Cases Registered in India

The Luthra brothers are accused in several cases related to financial fraud and cheating, with complaints registered in different parts of India, including Goa. Investigators allege that the accused were involved in defrauding individuals and businesses through false promises and forged documents. Indian agencies had been tracking their movements after they allegedly fled the country to evade arrest.

Authorities said lookout circulars had been issued against them, which helped in locating and detaining them abroad.

Inter-Agency Coordination Highlighted

Officials described the deportation as a result of close cooperation between Indian investigative agencies, the Ministry of External Affairs, and Thai authorities. They said such coordination is crucial in ensuring that accused persons who flee overseas are brought back to face the law.

Further Legal Action Expected

After their arrival in India, the Luthra brothers are expected to be produced before the appropriate court. Further questioning and legal proceedings will follow based on the cases registered against them.
