Terror Module Targets High-Profile Sites In India

Indian security agencies have uncovered a terror module that allegedly planned attacks on several major public locations, including Ayodhya, India Gate, prominent shopping malls and railway stations across the National Capital Region. Investigators said the group was attempting to plan high-impact strikes capable of causing mass casualties. Arrests have been made in Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh, including that of a medical doctor from Hyderabad who is suspected to be linked to the plot.

Investigation Points To Wider Network

According to officials, the group had conducted reconnaissance of crowded public areas and was exploring the use of explosives or chemical-based devices. The module is believed to have connections with extremist networks operating inside and possibly outside India. Searches and interrogations are underway to identify additional operatives and uncover the full extent of the conspiracy.

Security Heightened Across Key Locations

Following the discovery, security has been tightened at major religious sites, metro stations, railway hubs and commercial centres. The alert level was already high after the recent blast near the Red Fort, and the revelation of Ayodhya and India Gate among the intended targets has prompted even stronger surveillance and deployment. Authorities have urged the public to remain alert and report suspicious activity.
