Telangana Secures ₹5.75 Lakh Crore At Global Summit

The Telangana government announced that it has received investment commitments worth ₹5.75 lakh crore during the two-day Rising Global Summit held near Hyderabad. Officials said the agreements cover a range of sectors, including data centres, biotechnology, manufacturing, defence technology and infrastructure development.

Big focus on digital and data

Among the biggest deals was a plan to build a 1 GW data centre project. Another major commitment involved a large international data gateway proposed by a foreign investor. The state government said these projects will support its ambition to become a leading digital and technology hub in the country.

Other sectors draw interest

Agreements were also signed in areas such as green energy, AI townships, pharmaceuticals and industrial parks. Defence technology and biotech firms announced expansion plans worth several thousand crore rupees. Officials said these investments have the potential to generate employment in both urban and semi-urban districts.

Push for long-term economic growth

The government described the summit as an important milestone in its goal of transforming Telangana into an economic powerhouse. The investments are expected to support long-term infrastructure expansion, attract global companies, and boost the state’s manufacturing and services ecosystem.
