TCS Says AI Services Revenue Touches $1.5 Billion

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has said its artificial intelligence services are now generating about $1.5 billion in annualised revenue, underlining the growing role of AI in the company’s overall business. The disclosure was made by TCS Chief Executive Officer K Krithivasan, marking the first time the company has publicly quantified revenue from its AI portfolio.

AI Becoming Core Growth Driver

Krithivasan said AI-led solutions are seeing faster growth compared to several traditional service lines, driven by strong client demand across sectors. TCS has deployed AI solutions for thousands of projects globally, helping enterprises automate operations, improve decision-making and enhance customer experience. Financial services, healthcare, manufacturing and retail are among the sectors showing high adoption of AI-driven services.

Client Adoption and Investment Focus

According to the company, a majority of its large global clients are already using AI solutions in some form. TCS is continuing to invest in expanding its AI capabilities by training employees, building proprietary platforms and strengthening partnerships with technology providers. The company views AI as a long-term growth engine rather than a short-term opportunity.

Industry Context

The disclosure reflects a broader shift within the IT services industry, where AI is moving from pilot projects to large-scale deployments. As enterprises increase spending on AI-led digital transformation, IT firms are beginning to see measurable revenue impact from these technologies.
