Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin Joins Voter Adhikar Yatra
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin joined the Indian National Congress’s Voter Adhikar Yatra in Bihar, led by Rahul Gandhi. Stalin was accompanied by DMK MP Kanimozhi and was welcomed by local leaders including Lalu Prasad Yadav.
Strong Message Delivered
On arrival, Stalin said: “Touchdown Bihar. The land of respected Lalu Prasad Ji greets me with fire in its eyes, the soil heavy with every stolen vote.” He marched alongside Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, and Tejashwi Yadav, describing the yatra as a force that converts people’s pain into strength.
Electoral Roll Controversy Drives Campaign
The 1,300 km-long yatra across 20 districts is centered on allegations of voter list manipulation in Bihar. Leaders of the INDIA bloc, including Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav, accused the Election Commission of enabling “vote theft” by deleting legitimate voter names, calling it a central issue ahead of state elections.
BJP Seizes on Regional Tensions
Reacting to Stalin’s presence, BJP leader K. Annamalai shared videos of past remarks made by DMK leaders that were critical of Biharis. He challenged Stalin to repeat those statements on Rahul Gandhi’s stage, escalating political tension during the campaign.
