Yash Dayal – Bharat Pulse News

Indian fast bowler Yash Dayal has been named in a First Information Report (FIR) filed in Ghaziabad after a woman accused him of sexual harassment. The incident, allegedly taking place near Indirapuram, was reported earlier this week and has now led to a registered complaint under relevant legal provisions. Allegation details According to the FIR, the woman claimed Dayal made inappropriate advances toward her in public. Disturbed by the incident, she approached the local police, who initiated an inquiry. The specific charges were registered under sections of the Indian Penal Code pertaining to harassment in public and breaches of modesty. The police are now conducting a thorough investigation, gathering statements and reviewing nearby CCTV footage. Police action Deputy Commissioner of Police (Ghaziabad) confirmed that after reviewing the complaint, the police officially registered the case. Officers have begun reconstructing the timeline and gathering evidence. Initial steps include recording the complainant’s statement and towing signs from the location to corroborate her account. Cricketing background Dayal, 27, has represented India in limited-overs formats and features regularly in the IPL. Known for his left-arm pace, he debuted internationally in 2021 and has since been active in professional cricket circuits. His agent issued a brief statement saying Dayal is “cooperating fully with authorities” and maintains his “commitment to clarity and truth.” Investigation process Law-enforcement officials anticipate that this process may take several weeks, depending on evidence strength and victim cooperation. The complainant will be called for a formal police line-up, and any tangible material evidence will be crucial. If sufficient proof is found, Dayal may face formal charges and possible legal proceedings. Implications and response The case has stirred discussions about conduct rules for public figures and athletes. Advocacy groups stated that irrespective of a person’s fame, all individuals must adhere to respectful public behaviour. Dayal’s legal counsel has emphasized due process, and the cricketer's next match appearance remains uncertain as authorities continue their inquiry.
