Trump Israel Lebanon criticism – Bharat Pulse News

US President Donald Trump has publicly criticised Israel’s military tactics in Lebanon, saying strikes on residential buildings while targeting Hezbollah militants were causing civilian deaths and damaging wider diplomatic efforts. Trump Criticises Israel Tactics In Lebanon Trump said Israel’s approach in Lebanon had gone too far, particularly when apartment buildings were struck during operations aimed at Hezbollah targets. He said civilians living in such buildings should not be treated as militants and urged greater restraint. The remarks marked an unusually direct public rebuke of Israel from Trump, who has generally maintained strong support for the country and its leadership. Israel Lebanon Conflict Faces Global Scrutiny Trump’s comments came as Israel continues military operations in Lebanon amid rising international concern over civilian casualties. The conflict has caused significant destruction in parts of Lebanon, including Beirut and southern areas affected by repeated airstrikes. Israel has maintained that its operations are aimed at Hezbollah and that the group uses civilian areas for military activity. However, civilian deaths and damage to residential buildings have increased pressure on Israel’s conduct of the campaign. Netanyahu Trump Ties Under Pressure Trump said he continues to have a strong relationship with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu but suggested that Israel must act more responsibly. His remarks also indicated concern that Israeli actions in Lebanon could complicate US-led diplomatic efforts in the wider region. Despite the criticism, there was no immediate indication of a major shift in US policy toward Israel. The White House continued to describe Israel as a key US partner while stressing the need to reduce civilian harm.
