Trump Iran midterm elections – Bharat Pulse News

President Donald Trump has said the United States will not launch fresh military strikes against Iran before the November 3 midterm elections, even as the Pentagon continues preparing options for a possible escalation. Trump Rules Out Iran Attack Before November 3 Trump said Washington is engaged in what he described as “productive discussions” with Iran and confirmed that no new US attack would take place before the midterm congressional elections. The statement comes amid reports that American military planners have been instructed to prepare options for renewed strikes against Iranian targets. Trump, however, stopped short of ruling out military action after the elections, leaving open the possibility of escalation if diplomatic efforts fail. US and Iran Continue Diplomatic Discussions Washington and Tehran remain divided over several major issues, including Iran’s uranium enrichment programme and efforts to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. Iran has continued to insist on retaining its enrichment capabilities, while the United States is seeking significant restrictions as part of any broader settlement. Iran is also reviewing a US proposal connected to reopening the Strait of Hormuz, a critical shipping route for global energy supplies. Trump Statement Eases Oil Market Concerns Trump’s announcement helped reduce immediate fears of another major military confrontation before November. Oil prices eased after the comments as concerns over possible disruption to Middle East crude supplies diminished. However, tensions remain high. Washington has imposed additional sanctions targeting networks and vessels involved in transporting Iranian oil, while military preparations in the region continue. The November 3 deadline now effectively creates a temporary window for diplomacy, although the longer-term direction of the US-Iran conflict remains unresolved.
