A magnitude 5.8 earthquake struck Assam’s Udalguri district on 14 September 2025 at around 4:41 pm. The National Center for Seismology confirmed that the tremor had a shallow depth of about 5 kilometres. Tremors Felt Across Region Strong tremors were reported in Guwahati and nearby areas.
