Authorities confirmed that evacuation procedures were completed by 2:21 AM on Saturday. Crews continued firefighting and cooling operations into the early morning hours, with visible smoke lingering well after the flames had been subdued. Tower Evacuation and Emergency Measures As the fire raged, tram services between Dubai Marina and Palm Jumeirah were suspended to facilitate emergency access. Several surrounding streets were also cordoned off. Emergency shelters and alternative accommodations were arranged for displaced residents through a joint effort between civil authorities and the building’s management. Eyewitnesses described scenes of confusion and fear. Some residents reported a lack of alarm activation and were alerted to the fire only by the smell of smoke or the sounds of others fleeing. One resident from the 49th floor recalled evacuating in pyjamas, while another questioned why the fire alarm system had not functioned.
