A diesel-laden goods train caught fire near Tiruvallur in Tamil Nadu early Sunday morning, causing major disruptions to rail services on the Chennai–Arakkonam route. The incident occurred around 5:30 am, prompting immediate action from fire services and railway authorities. Emergency response teams quickly reached the location, and the blaze was brought under control after a few hours. Thankfully, there were no reports of injuries or loss of life. Morning commuters were particularly affected, with many stranded at intermediate stations. Authorities arranged for alternate transport, including special buses, to assist passengers. Investigation Launched Into Cause Railway officials have launched an inquiry to find the cause of the fire. Train Movement Restored By Afternoon By 12 noon, train services gradually resumed after safety clearance.
