According to the Congressional Budget Office, these cuts could leave nearly 12 million Americans without health coverage and are expected to inflate the national deficit by more than $3 trillion over the next decade. As the President waved to cheering supporters, critics were quick to highlight the bill’s controversial provisions. Democrats and labor leaders have condemned the legislation as a handout to the wealthy at the cost of working families.
