Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has raised fresh allegations of a UGC-NET Sociology paper leak, claiming that a 100-page document circulated before the exam had nearly 90 questions matching the actual paper. The National Testing Agency has not yet issued a response to the claims. In a post on X, he claimed that a 100-page PDF linked to the paper-setting process had circulated shortly before the examination. He alleged that nearly 90 questions from the document matched the actual Sociology paper. Gandhi also claimed that the question paper was being sold for ₹2.25 lakh in states including Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Delhi and Rajasthan. NTA Response Awaited On Allegations The allegations come weeks after the NEET-UG paper leak controversy triggered nationwide protests and renewed scrutiny of India’s competitive examination system. According to the claims shared by Gandhi, the same network allegedly offered access to question papers for other examinations, including CSIR-NET, HTET and ADA. No official confirmation of a leak has been issued so far, and a response from the NTA is awaited. UGC-NET Sociology Paper Under Scrutiny Several candidates who appeared for the UGC-NET Sociology paper have also complained about spelling mistakes, grammatical errors and poorly worded questions. Some candidates alleged that a large number of questions resembled earlier exam questions, raising further concerns over paper quality and examination integrity. The latest claims are likely to increase pressure on the government and the NTA to clarify the matter and address concerns of students appearing for national-level entrance and eligibility tests.
