India has strongly rejected Pakistan’s allegations linking New Delhi to the recent Karachi attack, calling the claims baseless and urging Islamabad to act against terror networks operating from its own territory. India Rejects Pakistan Claims Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said India categorically rejected Pakistani reports alleging Indian involvement in the Karachi attack. He said Pakistan should stop pointing fingers at others and instead look inwards. India also asked Pakistan to take credible action against terror infrastructure on its soil. The response came after Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi claimed an “Indian proxy” was involved in the assault but did not present evidence to support the allegation. Karachi Rangers Attack The attack targeted the provincial headquarters of the paramilitary Pakistan Rangers in Karachi. A militant reportedly rammed an explosives-laden vehicle into the facility, triggering a gun battle with security forces. Three Pakistani security personnel and three attackers were killed in the incident, while four others were injured. A fourth attacker, identified by Pakistani authorities as an Afghan national, was captured. Jamaat-ul-Ahrar, a group linked to the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan, claimed responsibility for the attack. Pakistan Afghanistan Strikes Following the Karachi attack, Pakistan said it carried out strikes in eastern Afghanistan, targeting militant positions in Paktia, Paktika and Kunar provinces. Pakistani officials claimed 25 militants were killed in the strikes and said ground operations were also carried out along border areas. Afghanistan’s Taliban administration has repeatedly denied sheltering militants and has accused Pakistan of violating Afghan sovereignty through cross-border strikes. The latest developments have further strained ties between Islamabad and Kabul, while India’s response has added another layer to the region’s diplomatic tensions.
