Nijjar killing probe – Bharat Pulse News

The Canadian investigation into the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar has failed to establish a definitive link between India and the incident, raising new questions about the allegations made by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau against New Delhi. "We have not found conclusive evidence directly linking India to the assassination." Investigation Yields No Substantial Evidence Despite heightened diplomatic tensions and international scrutiny, Canadian authorities have reportedly found no conclusive proof implicating India in the assassination of Nijjar, who was shot dead in British Columbia in June 2023. This development contradicts earlier claims made by Trudeau’s government, which had suggested Indian involvement, leading to a major diplomatic standoff between Ottawa and New Delhi. India Denied Allegations from the Start India had categorically rejected any involvement in Nijjar’s killing, calling the allegations baseless and politically motivated. The claims had further strained relations, leading to visa restrictions, expulsions of diplomats, and disruptions in bilateral cooperation on trade and security matters. Diplomatic and Political Ramifications With Canada unable to provide substantial evidence, the allegations appear to have weakened Trudeau’s position, both domestically and internationally. The case had already led to a deterioration in India-Canada relations, impacting economic, political, and security ties. As the investigation remains ongoing, questions linger over the diplomatic consequences of Trudeau’s claims, and whether Canada will recalibrate its stance towards India in light of these findings.
