Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi is likely to visit India from July 1 to 3 for the annual India-Japan Summit, with New Delhi now expected to host the main talks. The change in venue is being seen as a setback for the state, though official details of the final itinerary are still awaited. Japan has been a major partner in India’s development projects, including transport and connectivity initiatives.
