Indian Railways has approved 100 infrastructure projects worth Rs 1.53 lakh crore in FY26, marking its biggest network expansion push this year. The sanctioned works will cover more than 6,000 km of the railway network and include new lines, doubling, multitracking, bypass lines and flyovers
