Mirza – Bharat Pulse News

Former UAE envoy to India Hussain Hassan Mirza has said Prime Minister Narendra Modi could play a major diplomatic role in easing the Iran-Israel conflict, arguing that India’s ties with both sides give it unusual leverage at a time of growing regional instability. Hussain Hassan Mirza on Modi Mediation Role Mirza said a direct outreach by Prime Minister Modi to leaders in Iran and Israel could help reduce tensions quickly. In televised remarks, he suggested that India’s standing in the region and Modi’s personal credibility with multiple governments could make such engagement significant. His comments came as diplomatic pressure grows for a broader de-escalation effort in West Asia. UAE Neutrality in Iran Israel Conflict Mirza also stressed that the United Arab Emirates does not want to be drawn into the conflict. He said there was no reason for the UAE to be involved in the fighting and made clear that Emirati territory would not be allowed to serve as a launch base for either side. The remarks reinforced Abu Dhabi’s effort to maintain a careful balance amid rising tensions across the region. India Diplomacy in West Asia Tensions The comments also drew attention to India’s growing diplomatic profile in West Asia, where it maintains working relationships with Israel, Iran, and Gulf states. Mirza indicated that this broad acceptance gives India a potential channel for communication at a time when formal diplomacy is under strain. His remarks did not signal any official mediation process, but they added to discussion around whether New Delhi could help support de-escalation. The statement comes as governments across the region seek to avoid a wider spillover from the conflict. With energy markets, shipping routes, and regional security under pressure, calls for diplomatic intervention have intensified.
