An Indian fisherman, identified as 30-year-old Bhavesh, died by suicide in Karachi’s Landhi Jail on March 26, 2025. He was found hanging in his cell during a routine inspection by jail authorities. Bhavesh had been imprisoned since 2022 after being apprehended by the Pakistan Maritime Security Agency for allegedly crossing into Pakistani territorial waters while fishing.
