Kusum warehouse attack – Bharat Pulse News

A missile launched by Russia struck a warehouse belonging to Indian pharmaceutical company Kusum in Ukraine’s capital, Kyiv, injuring at least three employees. The strike occurred amid a wave of aerial assaults across multiple Ukrainian cities and caused substantial damage to the logistics facility. Indian Pharma Firm Targeted Kusum, a pharmaceutical firm of Indian origin with a long-standing presence in Ukraine, confirmed that one of its warehouses was hit during the missile barrage. Although the facility was operational at the time, there were no reported fatalities. However, three Ukrainian staff members were injured and are currently receiving treatment. The company clarified that its manufacturing units remain intact and fully functional. The warehouse, which was primarily used for storage and distribution, was not a military or strategic asset, indicating the strike may have been collateral damage rather than a targeted attack. Broader Conflict Impact The incident occurred during an escalation in Russian missile and drone attacks on infrastructure in and around Kyiv. Power plants, logistics centers, and civilian buildings were also affected. Emergency services responded to several impacted sites, attempting to restore basic utilities and provide aid to the injured. The Indian embassy has been in contact with Kusum's local management and is monitoring the situation closely. Concerns have been raised regarding the safety of Indian assets and citizens in conflict zones, especially given the increasing intensity of attacks on urban infrastructure. As the conflict in Ukraine deepens, foreign commercial operations like Kusum’s face heightened risks. The company has reaffirmed its commitment to the region while ensuring maximum safety measures for its employees. The incident underscores the unpredictable nature of war and the challenges faced by international businesses in conflict-affected areas.
