Pakistani security forces and Afghan Taliban fighters exchanged heavy fire on Tuesday night in the Kurram district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, near the Pakistan-Afghanistan border. According to Pakistani officials, Afghan troops opened “unprovoked fire” at a military post, sparking retaliation.
