Iran Govt Calls Rally In Tehran Amid Strikes Iran’s government has urged citizens to gather across Tehran to show support for the Islamic Republic amid ongoing military strikes. The appeal was broadcast on state television as hostilities continued for a third consecutive day. Tehran Rally To Support Islamic Republic Authorities called on residents of the capital to assemble in central locations to demonstrate unity and backing for the government during what officials described as external aggression. The televised message encouraged widespread participation, framing the rally as a show of national solidarity at a time of heightened tension. Security presence across Tehran has reportedly been strengthened, with public institutions on alert as air raid warnings and emergency responses continue in parts of the city. Tribute To Ayatollah Ali Khamenei The rally is also intended as a tribute to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who Iranian state media reported was killed in recent U.S. or Israeli air strikes. Officials described the gathering as an opportunity for citizens to honour his leadership and reaffirm their commitment to the Islamic Republic. Iran has declared a period of mourning following the announcement of his death, and state channels have been broadcasting memorial messages and footage from previous public addresses. Ongoing U.S.-Israel Strikes In Iran The call for public mobilisation comes on the third day of reported joint U.S.-Israeli strikes targeting sites across Iran. Explosions have been reported in multiple areas, including near key government and military installations. Iranian authorities have said the attacks have caused casualties and infrastructure damage, though comprehensive assessments are still ongoing. The situation remains fluid, with continued exchanges raising concerns about broader regional escalation.
