India’s gross Goods and Services Tax collections rose to ₹2.11 lakh crore in July 2026, marking a 15.4% increase from the same month last year and the highest monthly total in 14 months. July GST Collections Reach ₹2.11 Lakh Crore The July figure was substantially higher than the ₹1.83 lakh crore collected in July 2025. It was also the second time during the 2026-27 financial year that monthly GST revenue crossed the ₹2 lakh crore threshold. Domestic transactions generated gross revenue of ₹1.45 lakh crore, representing year-on-year growth of 10.1%. The figures indicate sustained tax generation from consumption and business activity despite continuing global economic and geopolitical uncertainty. Import GST Revenue Records Sharp Growth GST collected from imports increased 28.8% from a year earlier to ₹66,511 crore. Import-related receipts grew considerably faster than domestic GST revenue and were a major contributor to the overall increase in July collections. Total GST refunds rose 13.1% to ₹29,968 crore during the month. Export-related refunds processed through the customs system increased 22.7% to ₹12,288 crore. After adjusting for refunds, net GST revenue reached ₹1.81 lakh crore, up 15.8% year-on-year. Net domestic revenue rose 10.5% to ₹1.27 lakh crore, while net GST receipts from imports jumped 30.3% to ₹54,223 crore. FY27 GST Revenue Maintains Growth Gross GST collections during April-July 2026 increased 10.1% to ₹8.43 lakh crore, compared with ₹7.66 lakh crore during the corresponding period last year. Net collections for the first four months of FY27 rose 9.2% to ₹7.21 lakh crore. Among major states, Haryana recorded the highest July growth at 25%, followed by Gujarat and Telangana at 19% each.
