The announcement came after Prime Minister Narendra Modi held wide-ranging bilateral talks with Angolan President João Lourenço in New Delhi. The two leaders discussed expanding engagement in multiple sectors including defence, public infrastructure, digital governance, and space technology. Defence and Security Collaboration The credit line is set to facilitate Angola’s purchase of military equipment and services from Indian defence firms. Areas such as traditional medicine, agricultural practices, and vocational training were highlighted for collaboration. These people-centric initiatives aim to deepen cultural understanding and strengthen grassroots connections between India and Angola.
