IDFC FIRST Bank’s board has approved an enabling proposal to raise up to ₹20,000 crore through equity and debt instruments, providing the lender with greater flexibility to support growth and maintain capital adequacy. IDFC FIRST Bank Fundraising Plan The private-sector lender plans to raise up to ₹7,500 crore through equity securities. The capital may be secured through one or more permitted routes, subject to applicable laws and the necessary regulatory and shareholder approvals. The equity component could help strengthen the bank’s capital base while supporting expansion across its lending and other banking operations. The board’s enabling approval allows the lender to approach capital markets when conditions are considered suitable. The proposal does not mean that the entire approved amount will be raised immediately. Debt Issuance Worth ₹12,500 Crore The board also approved the issuance of debt and other eligible instruments worth up to ₹12,500 crore. These securities may be issued in one or more tranches and denominated in Indian rupees or permitted foreign currencies. The debt fundraising will be over and above the bank’s outstanding debt securities but must remain within its overall borrowing limits. The combined equity and debt approvals take the total potential fundraising capacity to ₹20,000 crore. The bank said the funding flexibility would help it maintain a strong capital position and meet future business requirements. Final Dividend Record Date Fixed IDFC FIRST Bank has fixed August 7, 2026, as the record date for identifying shareholders eligible to receive its final dividend for the financial year ended March 2026. The bank had recommended a final dividend of ₹0.25 per equity share. Payment remains subject to shareholder approval at the forthcoming annual general meeting. Only eligible shareholders recorded as holding the bank’s shares on the applicable record date will qualify for the dividend.
