ICC travel plans – Bharat Pulse News

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has said it is closely monitoring the escalating conflict in the Middle East after airspace closures in parts of the region disrupted international travel plans linked to the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026. ICC Monitoring Middle East Conflict And Airspace Closures The ICC confirmed that airspace restrictions across parts of the Middle East have led to flight cancellations and rerouting by major international carriers. The disruptions have affected travel arrangements for players, team support staff, match officials, broadcast crews and event personnel, many of whom rely on transit hubs in the Gulf region. Tournament officials stated that they are tracking developments in real time and remain in contact with relevant aviation and security authorities. ICC Activates Contingency Travel Plans In response to the travel challenges, the ICC has activated contingency measures to ensure the safe and timely movement of stakeholders. These include coordinating with airlines to identify alternative routes through other international hubs and establishing dedicated travel support mechanisms. Security consultants are also assessing the evolving situation and providing updates to participating teams and tournament organisers to minimise operational risks. T20 World Cup Schedule Unaffected For Now The ICC clarified that the airspace disruptions have not impacted on-field matches or the tournament schedule so far. However, logistical adjustments may be required for team travel between fixtures or for departures following the conclusion of matches. With the tournament approaching its final stages, officials said the priority remains ensuring player safety, operational continuity and minimal disruption as global geopolitical developments continue to influence international travel.
