In a significant breakthrough, joint teams of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) and the Gujarat Anti-Terror Squad (ATS) raided a drug factory in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, and seized a massive haul of MD drugs and manufacturing materials valued at ₹1,814 crores. The operation marks one of the largest drug seizures in the state, highlighting the robust efforts by law enforcement agencies to combat drug trafficking. The raid, conducted as part of a coordinated operation, uncovered a well-equipped factory engaged in the production of MD (Mephedrone) drugs. The discovery comes on the heels of a major bust in Delhi, where authorities seized ₹5,600 crore worth of cocaine and hydroponic marijuana, emphasizing the growing crackdown on international drug syndicates. The crackdown led to the arrest of four individuals, including key distributor Tushar Goyal, known for his involvement in drug smuggling activities across India. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has also stepped in to investigate the money laundering aspects linked to the recent drug recoveries, with FIRs and documents transferred by the Delhi Police for further inquiry.
