The youth-led movement is demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over alleged examination irregularities and repeated paper leaks. Barricades were installed across central Delhi, while several Metro stations were temporarily closed as part of heightened security arrangements. Scuffles erupted after sections of the crowd attempted to move beyond police barricades. Videos showed police using batons, while tear gas was reportedly fired at multiple locations to disperse protesters. Delhi Police faces opposition criticism Delhi Police disputed allegations of excessive violence and said personnel had handled the situation professionally. Several protesters were detained as authorities prevented the march from reaching the Parliament complex. Opposition parties raised the police action inside Parliament, with Congress leaders demanding accountability for the treatment of the demonstrators. The agitation centres on alleged examination failures, student suicides and demands for structural reforms. Government representatives subsequently opened talks with CJP leaders, although no agreement on their principal demands was immediately announced.
