Daniel Pearl justice – Bharat Pulse News

In a powerful message of solidarity, the American Jewish community has extended deep gratitude to India for eliminating Abdul Rauf Azhar, a senior commander of the terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammed and one of the key conspirators in the 2002 kidnapping and beheading of Wall Street Journal journalist Daniel Pearl. Azhar was killed in India's high-precision counter-terrorism mission, Operation Sindoor, which struck critical terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. Operation Sindoor and Abdul Rauf Azhar The death of Abdul Rauf Azhar marks a significant milestone in India’s longstanding fight against cross-border terrorism. A top-ranking member of JeM, Azhar had long been sheltered by Pakistani authorities despite being designated a terrorist by the United Nations and the U.S. His involvement in Daniel Pearl’s brutal murder had made him a symbol of Islamist brutality and impunity. India’s Operation Sindoor not only neutralized Azhar but also targeted JeM’s core operational base in Bahawalpur, believed to have served as the ideological and logistical hub for several past terror attacks in India. The strike was aimed at dismantling command chains and cutting off foreign terrorist support networks. Jewish Community Responds Prominent Jewish human rights advocates in the United States welcomed the development. Voices across the Jewish diaspora described the elimination of Azhar as “a long-awaited moment of justice” for Daniel Pearl and a significant victory in the global fight against radical Islamist terrorism. Acknowledging India's role, advocates emphasized that the operation served both justice and deterrence. The response also reflected a broader appreciation of India's firm stance against state-supported terror groups and its unwillingness to allow transnational terrorists to operate with impunity. A Shared Fight Against Terror The strong response from the Jewish community highlights a deepening convergence of values between India and global actors committed to defeating terrorism. As India escalates its campaign against terrorist networks with global reach, acknowledgments like these not only affirm the legitimacy of India’s actions but also help reinforce a shared global narrative against extremist violence.
