China Ukraine peace – Bharat Pulse News

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has called for the inclusion of all stakeholders in peace negotiations to resolve the Ukraine conflict. Speaking at a United Nations Security Council meeting on February 18, 2025, Wang stressed that all efforts toward peace should be supported and that Europe’s role in the process is crucial. He reaffirmed China’s commitment to President Xi Jinping’s four principles: seeking global peace, preventing escalations, fostering dialogue, and addressing the economic impacts of war. Wang emphasized that sustainable peace requires all affected nations to be involved in negotiations. His remarks follow recent discussions between U.S. and Russian officials in Saudi Arabia, where Ukraine and European nations were excluded. This move has sparked criticism from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and European leaders. China Urges Attention to Gaza Conflict While much of the global focus remains on Ukraine, Wang Yi urged the international community not to overlook other crises, particularly the conflict in Gaza. He stressed that the situation in Gaza demands equal attention to prevent further escalation. The region has witnessed renewed tensions, with Hamas delaying the release of Israeli hostages, citing violations of the truce by Israel. In response, Israel has threatened military action if the hostages are not freed, while the U.S. has warned of severe consequences if the situation deteriorates. Mediators from Egypt and Qatar are actively working to ensure both parties uphold ceasefire agreements. Wang’s statements highlight China’s stance that achieving global stability requires addressing multiple crises with equal urgency. China’s Push for Balanced Global Diplomacy China’s diplomatic efforts reflect its advocacy for multilateral solutions in resolving global conflicts. By pushing for an inclusive approach to Ukraine peace talks and drawing attention to Gaza, China aims to establish itself as a key player in international diplomacy. Its call for balanced engagement in global crises underscores the necessity of comprehensive, cooperative efforts to achieve long-term peace and security.
