The proposed India tour of Bangladesh, scheduled between August 17 and 31, is still awaiting final confirmation, according to Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) President Aminul Islam. The bilateral series, which includes three ODIs and three T20Is, has been discussed extensively, but remains contingent on clearance from the Indian government. Aminul Islam revealed that the BCCI has yet to provide official confirmation and that discussions are ongoing. He stated, “The discussions are ongoing. If for some reason they can’t come in August, they will come at the next available window.” The BCB, he added, remains hopeful that the tour will proceed as planned, with Mirpur and Chattogram identified as the likely venues. It was widely speculated that veterans Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli could return to the side for this bilateral series after a brief rest.
