In a notable act of philanthropy, Gautam Adani, chairman of the Adani Group, has announced a donation of ₹10,000 crore to various social causes, coinciding with the wedding of his younger son, Jeet Adani. This substantial contribution is earmarked for significant infrastructure projects in healthcare, education, and skill development, aiming to provide accessible and world-class facilities to all sections of society. Focus on Healthcare, Education, and Skill Development The majority of this donation is intended to fund extensive initiatives in healthcare, education, and skill development. These projects will focus on offering affordable, high-quality hospitals and medical colleges, top-tier K-12 schools, and advanced global skill academies with assured employability. The goal is to create a network of institutions that cater to diverse communities, enhancing overall societal welfare. Mangal Seva Initiative In addition to the primary donation, Gautam Adani introduced the 'Mangal Seva' program, designed to support newly married women with disabilities. In its initial phase, the initiative will provide financial assistance of ₹10 lakh annually to 500 such women. Jeet Adani inaugurated this program by meeting with 21 newly married differently-abled women and their spouses, underscoring the family's commitment to inclusive social development. A Simple and Traditional Wedding The wedding ceremony of Jeet Adani and Diva, daughter of diamond trader Jaimin Shah, was held at the Belvedere Club in Ahmedabad's Adani Shantigram township.
