Syria Condemns Israeli Attacks In Lebanon

Syria has condemned Israel’s latest attacks in Lebanon, calling them a violation of international law, international humanitarian law and the UN Charter. The statement came after one of the deadliest days in the current phase of the Israel-Hezbollah conflict, with Lebanese authorities reporting at least 254 people killed in a wave of strikes across the country.

Syria Condemns Israeli Attacks In Lebanon

In a statement shared by its Foreign Ministry, Syria said Israel’s actions breached international legal norms and demanded an immediate ceasefire. Damascus also called for the full implementation of relevant UN Security Council resolutions aimed at protecting civilians and safeguarding Lebanon’s sovereignty. The statement underlined Syria’s continued support for Lebanon as regional tensions remain high.

Israeli Strikes Kill Hundreds In Lebanon

The condemnation followed a major Israeli air campaign in Lebanon in which the Israeli military said it struck more than 100 Hezbollah-linked targets within minutes. The attacks hit Beirut, the Bekaa Valley and southern Lebanon, making it the deadliest day in the current Lebanon escalation. Lebanese officials said at least 254 people were killed, while hundreds more were injured, raising fresh concern over the scale of civilian casualties and infrastructure damage.

Lebanon Strikes Trigger Regional Concern

Syria’s response adds to the broader international criticism of the latest escalation. Damascus urged the international community to take responsibility for confronting what it described as repeated Israeli violations. The latest strikes have also deepened fears that the conflict could widen further, especially as questions grow over ceasefire limits and the exclusion of Lebanon from broader de-escalation efforts linked to the Iran crisis.
