Suspected Pakistan Drones Spotted Along LoC and IB

Security forces in Jammu and Kashmir detected multiple suspected drones entering Indian airspace from the Pakistan side on Sunday evening. The sightings occurred along both the Line of Control (LoC) and the International Border (IB) in the Samba, Rajouri and Poonch districts.

Officials said the flying objects hovered briefly over forward areas before returning across the border. In response, troops on alert launched search operations on the ground in the affected areas to determine if any contraband or arms had been dropped. Indian Army units also used counter-drone measures when the objects were observed.

Border Response and Security Alert

Troops fired at some of the suspected drones when they were spotted near forward village posts. The heightened activity comes amid ongoing concerns over aerial smuggling of weapons and other materials into Indian territory. Security forces have increased vigilance along sections of the LoC and IB following the incidents.

The drone movements lasted for a short period on Sunday evening, and authorities continue their investigations while maintaining operational readiness in border sectors.
