A SpiceJet Boeing 737 carrying around 150 passengers made an emergency landing at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport shortly after takeoff due to an engine-related issue. All passengers and crew members were reported safe, and the aircraft landed without further incident.

The SpiceJet flight, operated by a Boeing 737 aircraft, took off from Delhi before the crew detected a technical problem in one of the engines. Following standard safety protocols, the pilots declared an emergency and sought permission to return to the airport.
Air traffic control facilitated priority landing, and the aircraft safely touched down at Indira Gandhi International Airport. Airport authorities confirmed that emergency response teams were placed on standby as a precaution.
Engine Failure Shortly After Takeoff
According to airline officials, the suspected engine malfunction occurred shortly after departure, prompting the crew to take immediate corrective action. The flight crew followed established procedures to ensure passenger safety and coordinate with ground control.
