SpaceX Launches Two Starlink Missions
SpaceX successfully launched two Falcon 9 rockets this week to expand its Starlink satellite network. One rocket lifted off from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California, and another launched from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida.
West Coast Starlink Group 17-19
A Falcon 9 booster deployed 25 Starlink v2-mini satellites into a high-inclination orbit from California. This batch, part of Starlink Group 17-19, will help improve global internet coverage from low Earth orbit.
East Coast Starlink Group 6-101
Shortly after, a second Falcon 9 rocket launched 29 Starlink v2-mini satellites from Florida to a different orbital inclination. These satellites are part of the Group 6-101 mission, further growing SpaceX’s broadband constellation.
Ongoing Starlink Deployment
These launches are among a series this month to expand Starlink’s constellation, which aims to provide high-speed internet around the world, including remote and underserved areas. SpaceX continues to reuse Falcon 9 boosters to keep launch costs down and increase flight cadence.
