Small Aircraft Crash-Lands Near Rourkela Airstrip
A small aircraft made an emergency landing near the Rourkela airstrip in Odisha on Saturday, leaving six people injured. The incident occurred when the aircraft, operating a short domestic flight, reportedly developed a technical problem shortly before landing.
The aircraft came down in an open area a few kilometres away from the runway. All six people on board, including passengers and crew members, survived the crash landing. Local residents and emergency responders rushed to the spot and helped evacuate those on board.
Injuries and Emergency Response
Officials said the injured were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment. Their condition is reported to be stable, and no fatalities have been confirmed. Police and district administration teams secured the crash site and assisted medical personnel in the rescue operation.
