Siddaramaiah Dismisses “November Revolution” Speculation

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has said that becoming the Chief Minister requires the support of a majority of MLAs, suggesting that internal backing matters more than sudden upheavals. He added that while party high command has influence, it is ultimately legislators whose consent is crucial.

Denying Speculation

He also firmly dismissed rumors about a possible “November Revolution” in the state, in which some expected a leadership change. Siddaramaiah reaffirmed his intention to complete his full five-year term as CM.

Political Undercurrents

The remarks come amid growing chatter within the Congress party over whether Deputy CM D.K. Shivakumar could be a contender for the top post. Some senior party leaders have also appealed to the Congress high command to clarify the leadership issue to avoid confusion.

Siddaramaiah’s comments signal confidence in sustaining internal unity, while sending a message that speculative shifts won’t sway his mandate.
