Shinde Raises Fund Allocation Concerns with Amit Shah
Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde recently met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Pune to raise serious concerns regarding delays in the allocation of funds to projects overseen by Shiv Sena ministers and MLAs. Shinde pointed out that files related to these development works had been pending approval in the finance department, which is currently under the charge of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar.
Among the pressing issues highlighted during the meeting was the delay in the disbursal of salaries for employees of the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC). Shinde noted that intervention from his end was necessary to resolve the matter by reaching out directly to the Finance Secretary, emphasizing that such bureaucratic delays adversely affect governance and public service delivery.
Shinde urged for equitable fund distribution among all constituents of the Mahayuti alliance, warning that imbalances could hinder ongoing development efforts across various constituencies.
Ajit Pawar Denies Rift, Calls for Unity
In response to the concerns, Ajit Pawar publicly denied any friction within the alliance, asserting that internal matters would be resolved through direct communication with either Eknath Shinde or Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. Pawar dismissed speculation of any conflict and underlined the importance of focusing on constructive governance rather than fueling political gossip.
Echoing a similar tone, Shinde clarified that despite administrative hurdles, the alliance remained intact and committed to its developmental goals. He stressed that any issues among the alliance partners would be sorted amicably through dialogue.
Mahayuti Alliance Faces Governance Challenges
The Mahayuti coalition—comprising the BJP, Shiv Sena, and NCP—has encountered hurdles in coordination, particularly around fund flow and administrative priorities. Shinde’s meeting with Amit Shah signals a need for greater transparency and smoother coordination among alliance partners.
As Maharashtra prepares for crucial political and development milestones, the alliance’s ability to maintain internal harmony and ensure equitable governance will be vital for sustaining public confidence and policy effectiveness. The outcome of these discussions is likely to shape the Mahayuti’s operational cohesion in the months ahead.
