Seven Blasts in 24 Hours Trigger Panic in Balochistan
Seven explosions in different parts of Pakistan’s Balochistan province have created widespread fear among residents, according to local officials. The back-to-back incidents occurred within a 24-hour period, though no fatalities have been reported so far.
Railway Line Damaged, Security Guards Injured
One of the blasts damaged a key railway track near Quetta, disrupting train services on an important route. In Quetta city, two security guards were injured when grenades were hurled at a police checkpoint and an anti-terror vehicle. Additional low-intensity explosions followed in the Dera Murad Jamali region, adding to the tension.
No Group Claims Responsibility Yet
Police have not confirmed the involvement of any specific organisation, but officials suspect the role of insurgent groups active in the region. Bomb disposal units and additional security personnel have been deployed across vulnerable locations to prevent further incidents.
Long-Standing Security Concerns
Balochistan has been facing recurring attacks by separatist and militant outfits, targeting security forces and public infrastructure. The latest series of blasts has once again highlighted the fragile security environment in the province.
