Security Forces Demolish House of Delhi Blast Suspect in Pulwama

Security agencies carried out a controlled demolition of the residence of Dr Umar Un Nabi in Koil village of Pulwama district, Jammu & Kashmir. The house was linked to the white Hyundai i20 used in the explosion near Delhi’s Red Fort on 10 November 2025. Authorities had earlier matched DNA from the blast site with samples taken from Nabi’s family, confirming his involvement in the incident.

Evidence Links Nabi to Car Explosion

Investigators found that the Hyundai i20 was purchased 11 days before the explosion and connected it to Dr Nabi, a doctor based in Pulwama. DNA profiling from his mother confirmed he was driving the vehicle at the time of the blast, which killed at least 13 people and injured over 20. Police arrested six people from his family during raids in the region following the attack.

Message of Deterrence and Next Steps

The demolition of the house is part of the government’s strategy to send a strong message of deterrence against terror acts. Authorities said the operation was carried out overnight after moving residents to safety. Further investigations are underway to identify and dismantle associated modules, trace logistics and collect forensic evidence contributing to larger terror-network links.
