Russian Drone Attack Kills 12 in Dnipro
At least 12 people were killed after a Russian drone strike hit the Ukrainian city of Dnipro, Ukrainian officials said. The attack targeted a civilian bus in the Dnipropetrovsk region, causing multiple casualties and injuries. Emergency services confirmed that several victims were workers returning from their shifts, and the strike triggered a fire that was later brought under control.
Civilian Areas Hit Again
Ukrainian authorities said the Dnipro strike was part of a wider wave of Russian drone attacks across the country. Separate drone strikes were reported in Zaporizhzhia, where a medical facility was damaged and civilians were injured. Officials said residential and civilian infrastructure continue to face repeated attacks as fighting persists.
Zelenskyy Signals More Talks
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that further Russia–Ukraine talks are expected next week, though he cautioned that no breakthrough should be expected soon. He reiterated that Ukraine’s position remains unchanged, stressing territorial integrity and security guarantees as core demands in any negotiations.
The conflict, now entering another winter phase, continues to exact a heavy toll on civilians amid ongoing diplomatic efforts.
