Russia Strikes All Districts Of Kyiv In Major Attack
Kyiv came under one of its broadest attacks in months as Russian forces launched drones and missiles across nearly every district of the Ukrainian capital. Local authorities reported fires in several residential blocks, shattered windows, and debris scattered across streets. At least 11 people were injured, including a pregnant woman, while one man remains in critical condition. Emergency teams evacuated residents from multiple high-rise buildings as fires spread through upper floors.
Infrastructure And Services Affected
Officials said parts of Kyiv’s heating, electricity and water systems may face temporary disruption after fragments from intercepted drones damaged critical installations. In Dniprovskyi district alone, three apartment towers caught fire, forcing nine residents to be moved to safety. Other districts, including Desnyanskyi and Podil, also reported structural damage, power issues and smoke-related evacuations.
Security Response And Continued Alerts
Ukraine’s air force confirmed that both drones and guided munitions were used in the overnight barrage. Authorities urged residents to stay in shelters until alarms were lifted and warned that more strikes could follow. The scale of the attack suggests a clear escalation targeting densely populated urban areas and key infrastructure, signalling continued risk for civilians.
