RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat Advocates ‘One Temple, One Well, One Cremation Ground’ for Social Unity
RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat, during his ongoing five-day visit to Aligarh, urged swayamsevaks to work toward greater social cohesion across caste lines. Addressing gatherings at two separate shakhas, he emphasized the principle of “one temple, one well, and one cremation ground” as a framework for promoting inclusivity and unity within Hindu society.
Emphasis on ‘Sanskar’ and Family Values
Bhagwat underlined that ‘sanskar’, or moral values, forms the core of Hindu life and social organization. He encouraged RSS workers to cultivate these values within their families and communities, positioning the family as the foundational unit of society. According to him, social strength is built on cultural traditions, and it is only through value-based living that harmony can be sustained.
Grassroots Engagement and Festival Celebrations
The RSS Chief called upon volunteers to engage with all sections of society, not just ideologically aligned groups. He urged swayamsevaks to welcome people into their homes, fostering a culture of mutual respect and trust. Additionally, he highlighted the importance of celebrating festivals collectively, stating that such shared experiences help build national spirit and dismantle social barriers.
Preparations for Centenary Celebrations
Bhagwat’s visit, which began on April 17, includes regular meetings with RSS pracharaks from the Braj region. This outreach effort is part of a larger plan to prepare for the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s centenary celebrations, which are set to commence on Vijayadashami later this year. The event is expected to be a key milestone in reaffirming the organization’s commitment to cultural nationalism and social reform.
