Rishabh Pant Walking Again, Eyes Return to India Squad
Wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant has begun walking without crutches after his foot injury. His foot is out of the cast, and he is walking comfortably, according to reports.
Rehabilitation Begins
Pant is expected to enter the BCCI’s Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Bengaluru for rehabilitation. His training will be monitored closely, especially for movements crucial to his role, such as squatting, lateral motion, and keeping up with batting workload.
Squad Prospects
Though he missed the Asia Cup owing to this injury, Pant is a leading choice for red-ball cricket. India’s next Test series is scheduled against the West Indies in early October, and selection for that is likely at the end of September.
