Rajnath Singh: PoK Will One Day Say “Main Bhi Bharat Hoon”
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said that Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) will one day unite with India “on its own,” without the need for war. Speaking at an event in Morocco, he noted that people in PoK are increasingly expressing discontent with their administration and seeking freedom.
Recalling Past Remarks
Singh reminded that he had made a similar statement five years ago while addressing an Army event in Jammu and Kashmir. At that time too, he had asserted that India would not need to launch an attack to reclaim PoK, as it was already an integral part of the country.
Linked to Operation Sindoor & Regional Tensions
The minister’s comments come in the backdrop of Operation Sindoor, India’s counter-terror initiative targeting groups operating from Pakistan and PoK. Singh added that further phases of the operation, including “Part 2 or Part 3,” could take place if terrorist activities demand stronger action.
