Rajnath Singh Meets Kishtwar Cloudburst Victims
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh visited the Government Medical College Hospital in Jammu to meet people injured in the recent cloudburst at Chisoti village in Kishtwar. He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi is deeply concerned and is personally monitoring the situation.
Weather Blocks Direct Visit
Singh was scheduled to visit Chisoti but heavy rains and a fresh landslide on the route prevented travel. He instead held a video conference from Raj Bhavan with Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and senior officials to assess the ground situation and ongoing relief measures.
Relief and Recovery Update
Doctors at the hospital confirmed that all admitted patients are stable and recovering well. Singh praised the medical teams for their prompt response. Rescue operations continue in affected areas as security forces and local authorities work to restore normalcy.
