Rajnath Singh Celebrates Vijayadashami, Warns Pakistan
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh performed Shastra Puja (worship of weapons) at Bhuj Military Station, Gujarat, in observance of Vijayadashami. In his address, he praised Operation Sindoor as having exposed flaws in Pakistan’s air defence system and reaffirmed India’s readiness to respond decisively to threats.
Operation Sindoor and Strategic Message
Singh said that during Operation Sindoor, Pakistan attempted incursions from Leh to Sir Creek, but Indian forces thwarted them swiftly. He warned that any misadventure in the Sir Creek sector would get a response strong enough to “change both history and geography.” He drew comparisons to 1965, stating that in 2025, “the road to Karachi also passes through the Creek.”
Defence Manufacturing and Joint Forces
Highlighting the importance of coordinated action, Rajnath credited the Army, Navy, and Air Force for their seamless cooperation. He remarked that India has become more self-reliant in defence manufacturing, aligning with the Aatmanirbhar Bharat vision.
The minister also inaugurated the Tidal Independent Berthing Facility and Joint Control Centre in the Creek sector, to bolster coastal security, integrated operations, and rapid response capabilities.
