Qatar Shoots Down Iranian SU-24 Fighter Jets
Qatar’s Ministry of Defence said its air defence forces successfully shot down two Iranian Su-24 warplanes approaching Qatari airspace, while also intercepting seven ballistic missiles and five drones targeting areas within the Gulf state. Qatar described the action as necessary to protect its sovereignty amid heightened hostilities in the region. QatarEnergy subsequently suspended liquefied natural gas production at key facilities following reported missile and drone attacks on critical infrastructure.

Iran launched a series of strikes targeting energy facilities and infrastructure in Qatar, including a gas processing site in Ras Laffan Industrial City and a power plant in Mesaieed.
