The social media post used hashtags such as “#AsiaCup2025 #INDv” but left out “Pakistan” from both the caption and the match graphic. Fans quickly noticed the omission, and the franchise later turned off comments.
Boycott Calls Reach Supreme Court
The move came amid boycott calls from some groups citing terrorism and security concerns. A petition was also filed in the Supreme Court seeking to cancel the India-Pakistan fixture. The court, however, declined to list the matter urgently.
Match to Go Ahead as Scheduled
Despite the controversy, the high-profile match between India and Pakistan will take place on 14 September 2025 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, with full preparations underway.
